Hit Parade: Rodriguez Gets Cycle Tuesday, August 27th , 2024 Raul Rodriguez showed off his speed, his power and his plate discipline at Ballpark of Plantersville, putting together all facets of his game to hit for the cycle in the Terra Linda win. The 20-year-old shortstop went 5-for-6, collecting 1 single, 2 doubles, 1 triple and 1 home run to help the Chargers top the Franklin Cubs by a score of 12-1. A jubilant Rodriguez told reporters afterward that the experience was "unimaginable." "Seriously, I would have been happy going 1-for-6 with just the double," he said. "So this feels incredible." For the day, Rodriguez finished with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored to go with his 5 hits. Raul Rodriguez doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
