Chuluota Snaps Brooks Streak at 22 Sunday, September 6th , 2026 Ft. Wayne third baseman Marc Brooks experienced something against the Chuluota Imperials he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Imperials pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 22 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Earthquakes to a 21-5 victory at Earthquakes Stadium. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak," Brooks joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." Brooks is currently hitting at a .394 pace with 36 home runs and 123 RBIs. He has played in 99 games and scored 132 times. |
