Star of the Week Honored in NC Monday, August 31st , 2026 The marquee name in the Northern Conference this week is Avery Williams of the Whitby Bats. The hot-hitting 18-year-old left fielder put up a .517 average and .548 on-base percentage, piling up 15 hits in 29 at-bats, 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the NC Player of the Week honors. So far this season, Williams is hitting .457 with 37 home runs, 96 RBIs and 77 runs scored. He has 116 hits in 254 at-bats and a .529 OBP. |
