Hernandez Rockets 3 HR Against Plymouth Friday, August 16th , 2024 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Madison Grounds buzzing, Borrego Springs Rams left fielder Ivan Hernandez blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 19-1, over the Plymouth Rockers. "Everything was clicking," Hernandez told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Hernandez shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Rams manager Michael Wright said. "Ivan played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Ivan Hernandez hit a two-run home run off Tom Koch in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, walked in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th. During the current season Hernandez is batting at a .354 clip with 27 home runs and 89 RBIs. He has played in 91 games and scored 82 times. |
