Year Ends for Sam Boyd in Sunrise Manor Thursday, August 27th , 2026 A blow for Sam Boyd today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 9-10 months with a torn rotator cuff. Boyd suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Boyd's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To this point in the season, Boyd shows a 4-4 record, 11 starts, 72 innings, 49 strikeouts and a 2.38 ERA. |
