Norwood Ups Hit Streak to 33 Consecutive Games Tuesday, August 25th , 2026 Juneau center fielder Chris Norwood keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 33 games after collecting 2 hits at Ballpark of Haviland. The Sled Dogs earned the 19-4 victory over the Haviland Thrashers. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Norwood said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Chris Norwood singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. This year, Norwood is batting .428 with 39 home runs. He has scored 153 runs and driven in 131. |
