32-Game Hitting Streak for Norwood Monday, August 24th , 2026 Chris Norwood has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Juneau center fielder picked up 1 more today against the Haviland Thrashers and now has a 32-game hitting streak. The Sled Dogs won the game, 8-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Chris Norwood grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. Norwood has a .428 average and a .522 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 198 hits, 38 home runs and driven in 128 runs. |
