Saint Pierre and Miquelon Halts Hernandez's Hitting Steak Sunday, August 23rd , 2026 The Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Danny Hernandez hitless in 3 at-bats during the club's 7-1 victory over the Terra Linda Chargers at Ballpark of Plantersville. The disappointing performance ended a 25-game hitting streak for the center fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Hernandez said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Thus far this season, Hernandez is hitting .304 with 6 home runs, 26 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 91 hits in 299 at-bats and has played in 74 games. |
