Ortega Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Saturday, August 22nd , 2026 Nobody has been able to shut down Borrego Springs Rams left fielder Luis Ortega in recent days. The Plymouth Rockers fared no better than the rest. Today at Club Circle Park, Ortega picked up 2 hits in 4 at-bats en route to a win, 10-4. It stretched his hitting string to 25 consecutive games. Luis Ortega flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th and walked in the 8th. So far this year in 59 games, Ortega is hitting .508 with 29 home runs, 96 RBIs and 91 runs scored. |
