Hit Streak Now at 20 for Higgins Thursday, August 20th , 2026 The number just keeps getting higher. Jacksonville second baseman Matt Higgins has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 6 at-bats as the Jacksonville won the game, 16-3, over the Chuluota Imperials at Nationals Park. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Chuluota manager said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Matt Higgins grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and struck out in the 8th. For the year, Higgins is batting .458 with 28 home runs. |
