Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Johnson Monday, August 10th , 2026 With 2 hits at Griffins Field, Jeff Johnson added another game to his hitting streak -- the San Antonio catcher has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Griffins, as they fell, 18-4, to the Jacksonville Nationals. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Jacksonville manager Zack Glomski said later. "I'll let him get 3 hits in 3 at-bats if it means we get a win." Jeff Johnson hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd and grounded out in the 5th. This year, Johnson has hit at a .427 pace and produced 36 RBIs, 9 home runs and scored 30 runs. |
