Deist Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, August 5th , 2026 The hot bat of Griffins catcher Jonathan Deist continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 14-7 loss to the Imperials at Griffins Field. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Jonathan Deist struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. This year, Deist has hit at a .451 clip with 91 RBIs, 28 home runs and 87 runs scored. |
