Chuluota Snaps Benedict Streak at 21 Sunday, July 21st , 2024 Ft. Wayne defeated Chuluota, 3-0, at Imperials Ballpark, but saw the 21-game hitting streak of Earthquakes right fielder Chris Benedict snapped -- the Imperials held Benedict hitless in 4 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts." So far this season, Benedict is batting .371 with 22 home runs. |
