Stary Slams 3 Homers for Bats Saturday, July 20th , 2024 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Phil Stary discovered that today at Eláguila Stadia, as he smashed three home runs during the 18-5 Whitby Bats win over the Lincoln Princes. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Whitby left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Stary finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 10 RBIs. Phil Stary grounded out in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Roberto Gonzalez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Francisco Gonzalez in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off David Torres in the 6th and hit a sac fly in the 7th. Posting a .399 batting average to date, Stary has 15 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
