Colonels End Archuleta Streak Tuesday, July 28th , 2026 The Lincoln Princes lost to the Tiverton Colonels, 9-6, at Field of the Colonels, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Nelson Archuleta's 22-game hitting streak. The second baseman went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Archuleta, we would win the game," Colonels manager Chris Hartman explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." For the season, Archuleta has hit .405 with 8 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 27 games and scored 38 times. |
