Jose Diaz Hurls No-No Against Saint Pierre and Miquelon Thursday, July 18th , 2024 In a dominant outing, Jose Diaz of the Whitby Bats totally silenced the bats of the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates, finishing with a no-hitter. In the 6-0 victory, Diaz faced only 27 batters, surrendered no hits, had 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Whitby manager David Sawyers said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Bryan Crockett told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
