Wayne Halts Beal's Hitting Steak Sunday, July 26th , 2026 Dan Beal, catcher for the Juneau Sled Dogs, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes. Not only did the Earthquakes break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Juneau by the score of 8-2. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Beal said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." On the season, Beal is batting .324 with 8 home runs and 29 RBIs.
