Ayres Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, July 17th , 2024 Mike Ayres went 1-for-3 in the 8-7 Jacksonville Nationals victory over the Picture Rocks Raptors at Nationals Park. Ayres declined to speak to reporters following the game. He extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Mike Ayres grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. For the season, Ayres is currently batting .403 with 31 home runs and 94 RBIs. In 74 games he has reached base at a .456 rate and scored 72 runs to date. |
