Stary Bangs 3 HR Against Saint Pierre and Miquelon Wednesday, July 17th , 2024 Fans are still buzzing after Whitby whipped the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates by the score of 21-7 at Eláguila Stadia. Phil Stary smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 8 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Stary said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Stary said. "Three is just... wow." Phil Stary hit a three-run home run off David Wood in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. During the current season Stary is batting at a .385 clip with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 42 games and scored 46 times. |
