Hitting Streak Still Alive for Weatherspoon Tuesday, July 16th , 2024 Christian Weatherspoon, catcher for the Borrego Springs Rams, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 17-8 victory over the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates at Spinners Ballpark. "Not the outcome we wanted," Saint Pierre and Miquelon manager Bryan Crockett said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Christian Weatherspoon struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. In 2024 Weatherspoon has hit at a .491 clip with 54 hits, 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 23 times. |
