Wolverines Star Wins Pitcher of the Year Award Thursday, October 22nd , 2020 This year there was no one better on the mound than Oscar Orduno. Posting 12 wins and a 1.77 ERA was only part of the story for the Riverside superstar. For his outstanding performance in 2020 he was chosen as the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year Award winner. From start to finish Orduno never let up. In 24 starts he recorded 12 wins and 4 losses, 163 innings, 94 strikeouts, 35 walks, yielded 111 hits, and permitted opposing batters to hit .193 against him. He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jonathan Brey of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes finished second in voting, while Ray Fight of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes finished third.
