Bellflowers Johnson Booms 3 HRs Thursday, July 23rd , 2026 It was a good day for the Buffalo Bellflowers and an exceptional one for Jaden Johnson. The 18-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Bellflowers beat the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates, 9-8, at Wegman's Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Johnson said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 3 hits in 5 at-bats. Jaden Johnson struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jose Polanco in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Shunso Kashiwabara in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Tony de Leon in the 9th. So far this season, Johnson is hitting .372 with 11 home runs, 34 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 129 at-bats and a .417 OBP. |
