Lamas Gets Award for Relief Work Thursday, October 13th , 2022 He may only be 23, but Jonathan Lamas of the Jacksonville Nationals has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Southern Conference. The reliever was today named the SC Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2022. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 4 saves in 56 relief appearances and 102 strikeouts in 93.1 innings. He had a record of 4-2 to go with his 2.70 ERA. He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ryan Fluker of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Melvin Flores of the Riverside Wolverines finished third.
