Evans Keeps Hit Streak Alive Friday, July 5th , 2024 Brian Evans, first baseman for the Moncton Mounties, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 4-3 victory over the Lincoln Princes at Mapleton Yards. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Brian Evans flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Evans is hitting .402 in 2024 with 106 RBIs and 29 home runs. |
