Marr Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Jacksonville
						Wednesday, July 3rd , 2024
It was a doubly miserable day for John Marr of the Tulsa Captains, as he saw his 23-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 9-8, to the Jacksonville Nationals at Captains Ballpark. The 18-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 5 at-bats by the Nationals.
"Anyone on a 23-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Jacksonville manager Zack Glomski said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."
Marr is currently hitting at a .365 pace with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 25 games and scored 26 times.
