Williams Parks 3 for Moncton Monday, June 24th , 2024 Moncton shortstop David Williams blasted three homers at Franklin Park in the 28-2 Mounties victory over the Franklin Cubs. For the game, David Williams scored 4 times and knocked in 6 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Williams when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-6, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Williams told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." David Williams hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 1st, flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
