Hits Galore: Solis Drills 5 Hits
Thursday, June 20th , 2024
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.
Danny Solis of the Buffalo Bellflowers had one such moment at Wegman's Field, when he went 5 for 8 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Buffalo succumbed to defeat, 8-7, to the Lincoln Princes.
"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 20-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."
Danny Solis singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th, flied out in the 15th and singled in the 17th.
This season, Solis is batting .324 with 6 home runs. His totals include 30 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
