Earthquakes Advance to League Championship Series Monday, September 12th , 2022 The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Haviland Thrashers room was filled with despair and sadness after the Division Series concluded. "Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Bobby Barnes, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. Ft. Wayne won the final game by a 3-2 count at Ballpark of Haviland and the series 4-1. Haviland manager Matt Conners was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Barnes hit .375 with a .375 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Jacksonville Nationals - Riverside Wolverines series. Riverside leads the series 3 games to 2.
