Pantoja Booms 3 Homers Thursday, August 17th , 2023 It was a terrific day for David Pantoja, who ripped three home runs at Ballpark of Picture Rocks, and a disappointing one for the Picture Rocks Raptors who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 16-13, to the Corpus Christi Texans. "He was instant offense," Picture Rocks skipper Matt Walker said. "David really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Pantoja collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Ballpark of Picture Rocks. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. David Pantoja grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. This season, Pantoja is batting .250 with 66 hits, 26 home runs, 59 RBIs, .413 OBP and has scored 55 runs. |
