Dravid Jacks 3 into the Stands Tuesday, August 15th , 2023 Buckeye Local Panthers first baseman Amreet Dravid sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the San Bernardino Flight, Dravid told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Dravid pushed the Panthers past the Flight, 19-12. To go along with the homers, he collected 8 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Dravid told reporters after the game. Amreet Dravid grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th. This season, Dravid is batting .278 with 52 RBIs, 43 runs scored and 24 home runs. |
