Zane Chosen SC's Best Pitcher Monday, October 18th , 2021 The spotlight today is on Eric Zane of the Riverside Wolverines. He was named the top pitcher in the Southern Conference and will be honored with the 2021 Pitcher of the Year Award. Zane compiled an impressive 18-3 won-lost mark to capture this year's honor. In 177.1 innings of work and 29 starts, the Wolverines star struck out 194, while giving up 156 hits and 43 walks. He limited opposing batters to a .233 average. He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 24. Matt Schapp of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Angelo Quezada of the Ft.
