McFarland Extends Hit Streak to 32 Games

Bobby McFarland ran his hitting streak to 32 straight games at Nationals Park, when he collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Jacksonville Nationals dropped the game, 6-5, to the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes.
"Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," McFarland said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Bobby McFarland flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season in 32 games, McFarland is batting .496 with 13 home runs, 48 RBIs and has scored 39 times.
