Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for McFarland
Tuesday, July 15th , 2025
The Jacksonville Nationals fell to the Picture Rocks Raptors in Ballpark of Picture Rocks, even as 18-year-old second baseman Bobby McFarland upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games. McFarland finished with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Nationals from dropping the 13-12 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said McFarland. Bobby McFarland flied out in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
This season, McFarland has posted a batting average of .496 with 64 hits in 129 at-bats, 13 home runs and 48 RBIs. He has also scored 38 runs, walked 19 times and compiled a .567 OBP.
