Friday, October 15th , 2021
Eunice Bamberg said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 21 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Jacksonville Nationals rising star has won the Southern Conference Reliever of the Year Award for 2021.

He captured the award on the strength of his 4.34 ERA over 74.2 innings. He also had 19 saves in 51 relief appearances, 64 strikeouts and only 31 walks.

He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 24. Matt Hartman of the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Bernie Rodriguez of the Riverside Wolverines finished third.
