Gratta Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, July 7th , 2025 19-year-old Nick Gratta made a few Buckeye Local headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Southern Conference officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 17 hits in 30 at-bats to put up a .567 average. Gratta collected 11 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 16 runs. In 77 games this season, Gratta has compiled a .452 batting average with 151 hits and 51 home runs. He has also scored 123 times and knocked in 116 runs. |
