Big Day for Criscuolo: Swats 5 Hits Saturday, July 5th , 2025 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Jake Criscuolo is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Abingdon Archers at Chupacabras Stadium. The monster effort from the 18-year-old shortstop helped the Whitby Bats get the win, 17-2. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Archers manager Roberto Enriquez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Jake Criscuolo doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
