McFarland Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games

Bobby McFarland extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games in the 7-4 Jacksonville triumph over the Juneau Sled Dogs. The 18-year-old Nationals second baseman collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats.
"Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Bobby McFarland flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and grounded out in the 8th.
A look at his current stats shows McFarland with a .476 average, 10 home runs, 30 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 25 games.
