5-Hit Barrage by Tosh Thursday, July 3rd , 2025 The Picture Rocks Raptors stopped the San Antonio Griffins by a score of 16-15 at Ballpark of Picture Rocks, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Clay Tosh. The 18-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Tosh said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Tosh did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Griffins. "Not much that I can say," offered San Antonio manager James Beatty. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Clay Tosh flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brian Rosen in the 7th and tripled in the 9th. So far this season, Tosh has gotten 31 hits in 57 at-bats for a .544 batting average with 3 home runs. His stats include 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 17 games.
