Jackpot Prevail, as Division Series Goes to the Wire Friday, September 20th , 2019 When the entire season comes down to one game, Jerry Alvarado said you find out what a team is really about. As it turns out, the Biloxi Jackpot are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Jacksonville Nationals 5-2 tonight at Impact Stadium in order to win the Division Series and book a place in the next round. "It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Alvarado, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about." Alvarado hit .259 with a .286 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Biloxi Jackpot will play against the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes in the next round. Ft. Wayne won their series against the Riverside Wolverines 4 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
