Koerner Sensational, 5-for-6 Monday, June 30th , 2025 5 times is the charm -- at least for Curt Koerner. The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes catcher tore up the Buckeye Local Panthers to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Earthquakes Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Koerner powered the 23-9 Earthquakes win. "Koerner was a tough out," Buckeye Local manager Tyler Byrd said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Curt Koerner hit a solo-shot off Xiao-mei Wu in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Alberto Sanchez in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.
