Gone Again! 3 HR for Lopez Sunday, June 29th , 2025 Korey Lopez went on an explosive hitting spree against the San Antonio Griffins at Sled Dogs Ballpark, launching a trio of blasts to help the Juneau Sled Dogs win, 23-8. The first baseman finished 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Lopez said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." San Antonio skipper James Beatty said Lopez was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Korey Lopez grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Alex Hernandez in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jo Uehara in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Quim Perestrelo in the 6th. Lopez is hitting .355 this year with 42 home runs, 105 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has 102 hits in 287 at-bats, 31 walks and a .417 on-base percentage. Lopez has played in 73 games. |
