June's Premier Batter Announced Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 Troy Nelson has a lot going for him. The Ft. Wayne shortstop just broke into the majors this year and now the Southern Conference has just picked him as its top hitter for June. In 25 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .564 with 6 home runs, 33 RBIs and 35 runs scored. Thus far this season, Nelson is hitting .524 with 21 home runs, 93 RBIs and 90 runs scored. He has 164 hits in 313 at-bats and has played in 72 games. |
