Mike Kendra Out for Season
Friday, September 4th , 2020
The doctors have spoken and Mike Kendra of the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kendra sustained his season-ending injury during the Picture Rocks Raptors game yesterday at Ballpark of Picture Rocks. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Sunrise Manor medical staff reported Kendra had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

Kendra has compiled an ERA of 4.92 so far this season, winning 2 games with 9 losses and 3 saves. In 32 relief appearances he has hurled 86 innings, yielded 67 hits and struck out 82. Opposing hitters have batted .211 against Kendra.
