Big Day for Smith: Swats 5 Hits Friday, September 4th , 2020 It was a parade of hits for Mike Smith of the Chuluota Imperials at Imperials Ballpark today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Smith finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Imperials to a 13-10 victory. "Smith was really good and we were really bad," groaned Panthers manager D.J. Whiteman. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Mike Smith hit a solo-shot off Salvador Fonzarelli in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Salvador Fonzarelli in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a two-run home run off Juan Salazar in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Wu-han Ruan in the 10th.
