Long Island's Rivera Sidelined for Season Saturday, June 27th , 2026 The season is ending on a bad note for Rodolfo Rivera, starting pitcher for the Long Island Torpedoes. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Rivera was hurt against the Borrego Springs Rams while throwing a pitch. He suffered radial nerve compression and will be out for at least 8 months. Thus far this season, Rivera has tossed 20.2 innings in 0 starts, fanned 21 batters, walked 4 and put up a 7.40 ERA with no wins and 2 losses. |
