Henning Smacks 5 Hits for Wolverines Saturday, June 8th , 2024 All game long, Riverside's David Henning was rattling the walls at Ballpark of San Bernardino and banging out base hits against the San Bernardino Flight. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Wolverines had a win, 14-10. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 20-year-old catcher said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." David Henning hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Chad Iverson in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th and grounded out in the 11th.
