Cortez Hits in 30 Consecutive Games Monday, June 22nd , 2026 Chalk up another one for Lincoln Princes shortstop Manuel Cortez. He now has hit in 30 straight games. Cortez went 3-for-5 in today's game at Ballpark of Plantersville but saw his club defeated, 14-13, by the host Terra Linda Chargers. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Princes manager Jorge Vasquez said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Manuel Cortez singled in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th. Currently Cortez is batting .380 with 3 home runs, 30 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
