Bats Martinez Out Rest Of Season Tuesday, August 23rd , 2022 The season is finished for Victor Martinez of the Whitby Bats. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Bats reliever suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Franklin Cubs. Team doctors said it would take at least 10 months to heal. This season, Martinez has recorded no saves with a 2-2 record. He's made 12 relief appearances, tossed 27 innings while fanning 21 with a 7.33 ERA. |
