Martin Wins NC Best Player Award Monday, June 3rd , 2024 The premier performer in the Northern Conference this week was Brian Martin of the Abingdon Archers. The hot-hitting 21-year-old left fielder put up a .682 average and .731 on-base percentage, piling up 15 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the NC Player of the Week honors. This year, Martin has socked 77 hits in 197 at-bats for a .391 average with 20 home runs.
