Higgins Has 25-Game Hitting Streak

Matt Higgins, second baseman for the Jacksonville Nationals, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 15-9 victory over the Picture Rocks Raptors at Ballpark of Picture Rocks.
"Not the outcome we wanted," Picture Rocks manager Justin Shelhart said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Matt Higgins grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bob Galvan in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th.
In his season totals Higgins has 14 home runs and a .465 batting average.
